The Creative Method is a private session program that incorporates music and arts therapy, instrument study, composing, analysis-music theory, and/or recording techniques as the basis of the student's artistic and personal development. Every session is customized to a student’s strengths, age, identity, and level of artistic craft (even beginner!). TCM focuses on the student's individuality and creativity as the core of their personal and artistic development. Sessions emphasize technique building tools, as well as improvisation and creative composing as focal points to self-growth and mindfulness.
TCM sessions are tailored to everything from the young beginner, to the aspiring professional, or any students interested in tools to achieve self-realization goals such as overcoming emotional blocks and trauma, college entrances, athletic competition, academic success, and career/business development. TCM clients and programs have included ivy league bound students, major conservatory bound performers/artists, youngsters with academic learning disabilities, professional athletes and adult executive coaching, as well as those looking for an alternative to conventional counseling and therapy.
"My objective is to focus on growth and the individual overcoming limitations. Whether it be group clinics or private instruction, the method is fundamentally a tool using mediums and dialogue, refined technique and compositional creativity, carved out individually, leading to the personal goals, self-realization and wellness of the student." - Don Peretz
